My love for skin and aesthetics began when I was only 12 years old. Hailing from a family of doctors, with my grandfather Dr.T.M.A Pai (Founder of Manipal) as my inspiration, I always knew that providing excellent healthcare was what I wanted to do. I was determined to become a doctor, particularly a dermatologist.
I followed my passion and obtained my medical degree from Kasturba Medical College [KMC], Mangalore in the year 2005. In the year of 2010, I completed MD in Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprology from KMC. After which I worked as a Senior Resident in the Department of Dermatology for the same college as well as for Wenlock District Hospital, Mangalore.
My tenure as Senior Resident [2010-2013] enhanced my curiosity to explore the world of Aesthetic Dermatology and I went to New Jersey for a Preceptorship in Laser Dermatology. It was followed by a Fellowship in Dermoscopy [2014] from Cardiff University in the UK.
On my return in the year 2014, I set up the Aesthetic Clinic at KMC Hospital, Mangalore. Since then, I have brought in multiple technologies for the successful treatment of various cosmetic skin problems. Apart from treating the common skin issues, my passion also lies in helping acid attack and burn scar victims. Sadly, a common occurrence in India. To get a deeper understanding, I underwent an exclusive training with Dr Matteo Tretti Clementoni, a legend in fractional CO2 resurfacing in Milan in the year 2017.
All the experience and knowledge I gained over the years helped in starting The Skin Clinic in Mangalore in the year 2018. The Skin Clinic’s goal is to help patients achieve beautiful, healthy, and youthful skin.
Over and above all this, I regularly attend workshops and conferences to constantly update my knowledge.
